Right now, we are at the start of four years that could prove to be an existential moment for American democracy.

Donald Trump has shown us time and again what he thinks about our laws, our democratic norms, our institutions — our Constitution. The damage he will try to cause will be immense. So let’s talk about how we win this struggle for our democracy.

While very few people are paying attention, crucial decisions are being made in state redistricting commissions, courtrooms, and state-level elections that will help determine who holds power in this country for years to come. We have to be the ones paying attention. We have to be the ones taking action to protect our democracy. [[link removed]]

Anti-democratic forces have gerrymandered electoral maps across the country, creating an artificial advantage for Republicans that has contributed to their wins in November and prior elections.

We have a plan to build and shift power so that the right people are in the right places in advance of the next redistricting cycle. Your gift right now will help power the always-on work to win one critical victory after another and bolster the foundations of our democracy nationwide. [[link removed]]

Here’s just a snapshot of the key elections, legal battles, and redistricting efforts we’re tracking in 2025: 1. Fighting for fair congressional maps in states like Ohio and Texas to level the playing field in the U.S. House of Representatives so Democrats have a fair shot to take back control and put a check on Trump’s power.
2. Electing pro-democracy champions to state-level offices where they can slow down or stop the MAGA agenda.
3. Protecting the upcoming U.S. Census to ensure undercounted and underrepresented communities do not end up with less representation in Congress and less political power — and fair maps progress isn’t rolled back.
4. Defending Black opportunity districts in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana.

This work is happening every single day, and it is our honor to be part of this fight. Your contribution will make a meaningful difference in our ability to keep fighting and winning for our democracy.

Chip in now to help us stop the most harmful, anti-democratic efforts of the Trump administration and his allies in Congress. [[link removed]]

Thanks for everything you do to defend our democracy.
