John,  During his first term, President Donald Trump committed an act of nepotism that would stun even the most corrupt robber barons and emperors: he made his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, his point person on Middle East affairs. Kushner is a nepo baby himself, the son of another ultra-rich real estate developer. But that’s not where his awfulness ends. Kushner has made no secret about supporting Israeli domination over the Palestinians and has supported Netanyahu’s brutal war on Gaza. It’s not just because he’s a racist who hates Palestinians, it’s also because he wants to make a big profit. Jared Kushner and his father-in-law (who now happens to also be the president of the United States) envision a very different future for Gaza than human rights advocates and the Palestinians who live there do. They want to make Gaza the new Amalfi Coast or the new French Riviera. There’s only one problem: more than 2 million people live there. Kushner and Trump see a future where Gaza’s population has been killed or forced out – and where Israeli and American billionaires are free to take the land to build luxury resorts on the scenic Mediterranean coast. And as this travesty occurs right before our eyes, self-described “progressives” in the House of Representatives refuse to condemn Trump and Kushner's genocidal plans and dozens have actually accepted money from the right-wing, pro-Netanyahu group AIPAC. Our mission is to hold these “progressives” accountable and to demand that they use their power to stand against injustice across the world and especially in Gaza.
