I’m humbled by the endorsement of the Human Rights Campaign, it’s easy to measure the impact they’ve had on advancing LGBTQ rights.
Everyone deserves equal treatment under the law. And I am proud to do my small part, whether it’s voting for the Equality Act, or working together to end the ban on trans-Americans serving in our military.
Our country is stronger when we embrace and respect all Americans for who they were born to be. They are our friends, neighbors, and family. They’re people we know and care about, see every day, and love.
And, as long as I’m in Congress, LGBTQ equality will be a priority. So, if you can -- and only if you can -- consider supporting our campaign.

On Monday, Abby received an endorsement from the Human Rights Campaign -- a front-line organization fighting for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer Americans’ rights.
Sadly, we’ve seen unprecedented attacks on LGBTQ rights under the Trump administration including -- but far from limited to -- the ban on trans Americans serving in the armed forces and healthcare restrictions.
Abby knows our country is better when all Americans aren’t just accepted in our nation, but embraced and respected.
And she was proud to co-sponsor the Equality Act -- an effort to make sure our laws reflect our spirit: that Americans, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, deserve equal treatment under the law.
Even though this was a step in the right direction, Abby knows there’s still work to do, and will continue to use her platform and voice to protect and expand the rights of the LGBTQ community.
But Washington Republicans are set on eroding these rights -- and they’re going to do that through litigation, legislation, and campaigning. And our campaign is a target.
