Great news, John: Lauren's hard-fought efforts to enhance accountability at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) have culminated in the passage of the VA Office of Inspector General Training Act!

The 19th (!!) piece of Lauren’s legislation to be ratified into law was signed by President Biden earlier this month. It represents a significant step forward in ensuring our veterans get the best possible care.

This landmark bill mandates all VA employees undergo comprehensive training facilitated by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG). These trainings are vital as they arm employees with the knowledge they need to identify and report wrongdoing, from fraud to wasteful practices, thereby promoting a whistleblower-friendly environment.
