While Donald Trump has nominated several extreme and unfit Cabinet secretaries,
few would be more disastrous than his choice to lead the Office of Management
and Budget (OMB), Russell Vought.

Vought is one of the chief architects of the far-right "Project 2025" plan.While Donald Trump repeatedly disavowed Project 2025 on the campaign trail, he's
once again broken his word and nominated Vought to manage the federal budget.

The Director of the Office of Management and Budget holds a critical role in our
government. But Vought has made it clear he'll put partisan warfare ahead of the
needs of working families.

Vought has said he wants to put the federal workforce "in trauma," eliminate the
Department of Education, and slash Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. And
that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Vought's Project 2025 agenda would be downright catastrophic for the economic
security of American families. That's why Chuck is opposing his nomination to
lead the OMB.
