I want to share with you a moment I will never forget,
Last Saturday in Tel Aviv, I was the guy who was stabbed in an attack by a terrorist. A shocking event that made me realize how much life is a gift.
Just before it happened, thanks to divine providence, I took my friend's hat and put it on my head upside down.
It was a small decision, but one that changed my life. My life was saved at the last second or as I keep saying over the past week, a second here or an inch there.
I want to say thank you:
Thank you to my friends who were there by my side when it happened.
Thank you to the people who rushed to help me in the first seconds, who prevented me from losing blood and kept me conscious.
Thank you to the guy who eliminated the terrorist and prevented a greater disaster.
Thanks to the Ralph Lauren designer for the hard hat, which also contributed in an unexpected way.
Thank you to the medical team, who fought for me during the critical moments in the hospital.
Thank you to my family for never leaving me for a moment.
And most importantly - thank God.
Moments like these remind us how important it is to appreciate life. How important it is to stop, acknowledge, and say thank you.
And while I'm recovering and getting better, I can't help but think about our kidnapped brothers, who are currently in the hands of the enemy. We must bring them home.
Appreciate every moment – life is full of surprises, some of them unexpected.
Counting our blessings...
Tom Trento, for the TEAM
