Dear members and supporters,

The Trump administration is intent on their strategy of “shock and awe.”1,2 They want to drain our will to defend our communities — to stop us from building power to resist and win.

[Don’t let them. Register for our webinar series to learn from international movement leaders who fought back against right-wing authoritarianism and won. The first session is February 27]([link removed]).

We will not “obey in advance.”3 While these are hard times, they are not unprecedented. We can learn from Black and Indigenous communities who organized against slavery and genocide in this country and abroad.

Let this be a moment for learning together in a global community of how to fight back the global tide of far right authoritarianism and defend our communities.

March 27, 2025 | Care and Resilience: Learn from international allies who have advanced the movement for a more caring and sustainable world under far right authoritarian governments. The best defense is a strong offense.

April 24, 2025 | Practice and Ordinance: Let’s apply these international lessons to the U.S. context. Session three will ground us in what we can accomplish on Turtle Island. How can we learn and exchange ideas to protect and care for our communities?

As Aurora Levins Morales said in 2016 in her poem V'ahavta, “imagine winning. This is your sacred task. This is your power…Don’t waver. Don’t let despair sink its sharp teeth into the throat with which you sing. Escalate your dreams. Make them burn so fiercely that you can follow them down any dark alleyway of history and not lose your way. Make them burn clear as a starry drinking gourd over the grim fog of exhaustion, and keep walking. Hold hands. Share water. Keep imagining. So that we, and the children of our children’s children may live.”4
