John: After over a year of conflict, there is a ceasefire in Gaza. The ceasefire must be a turning point.

While we are hopeful, there is no denying that the humanitarian suffering in Gaza is catastrophic.

🚨The ceasefire in Gaza now represents a window of opportunity to scale up the delivery of humanitarian aid to meet the urgent needs of Palestinian civilians, shield civilians from further harm, and achieve the release of hostages.

At least 17,000 children are estimated to be unaccompanied or separated from their parents in Gaza. The IRC delivers protection services, mental health and psychosocial support, nutrition, and childhood development activities to children in Gaza.

With partners, the International Rescue Committee has reached more than 180,000 people in Gaza with critical services.

We welcome the ceasefire in Gaza and call for flexible funding—and the free flow of aid and humanitarian workers.

🚨With a ceasefire, we are determined to expand our scale and impact as conditions allow.

Every truckload of clean, safe water we deliver in Gaza is made possible thanks to support from people like you.
