Dear Team,
Yesterday, President Trump pardoned 23 individuals convicted under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act—individuals whose actions threatened, harassed, and harmed abortion patients, providers, and clinics. These pardons are effectively a mandate to attack abortion clinics, providers and their patients, including Center clients. [[link removed]]

"President Trump's pardons are a get-out-of-jail-free card inviting anti-abortion extremists to step up their attacks on reproductive health clinics with impunity. Congress enacted the FACE Act over 30 years ago with strong bi-partisan support because patients, clinic staff, and doctors needed protection from a reign of terror that included murders, arson, vandalism and clinic blockades," said Nancy Northup, President and CEO of the Center for Reproductive Rights.

Enforcement of the FACE Act is needed now more than ever: Since Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, there's been a sharp increase in violence against abortion clinics, staff and patients.
At the Center, we represent clients directly impacted by these attacks. With these pardons, the administration is dismantling critical protections, releasing convicted extremists to continue their assaults, and fueling a campaign of fear against anyone seeking or providing reproductive care.
We cannot stand by as the safety of patients, providers, and clinics is further eroded. This moment demands action.
This is a violent assault on abortion access, and we won't stand by and watch. [[link removed]]
