Friend,

To stop the spread of the coronavirus, states shut down schools for 30 million students across the country – and for hundreds of thousands of students right here in Connecticut. But many of these kids live in poverty, don't have access to books, the internet, and other learning materials outside of their classrooms. For them continuing their education at home is especially difficult.

I know that a lot of us are looking for ways to help out during this heartbreaking crisis. That's why I wanted to write to you personally today about First Book – an organization dedicated every day to delivering books to kids who wouldn't otherwise have them.

To meet the increased demand in the face of coronavirus-related school closures, First Book urgently needs support from people like you to deliver books and resources to as many children as possible in Connecticut and across the country. If you are able, join me and my family in making a gift today. It will make a world of difference for these kids:

Please, click here to make a gift of $5 or more – any amount you feel comfortable giving during this difficult time – to First Book. Every dollar will help ensure kids can keep reading and learning during this pandemic.

Thanks so much for helping out. I know it will mean so much to these kids.

Dick
