Folks,

Last week, I questioned Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump’s defense secretary pick, at his confirmation hearing.

This email isn’t about the multiple allegations of wildly inappropriate behavior by Hegseth — from abuse of women, to serial infidelity, to fiscal mismanagement, to working while under the influence of alcohol. It’s about my concern that he, and many of Trump’s other nominees, can’t be trusted to be honest with the American people. And more than that, it’s about how incredibly important these hearings are.

These are incredibly serious jobs. In turn, it's our job as committee members — and as representatives of the American people — to bring the truth to light before the Senate votes.
