Dear Illinois Republican Family,

America's golden era has begun. Our fellow Americans witnessed the second historic inauguration of President Donald J. Trump as America’s 47th President. Republicans across the country will use the next four years to secure our southern border, fix our economy and get to work for the American people.

Illinois families can sigh a breath of relief knowing that the chaos and instability of the last four years is behind us, and a new reality of unity, prosperity and peace through strength begins. Illinois Republicans look forward to working with President Trump to restore liberty, lower costs, and create safer communities for Illinois families. As Illinois faces the brunt of failed Democrat policies, including high inflation and a wide-open southern border, the common-sense conservative policies instituted by President Trump will further empower the Illinois Republican Party to Make Illinois Great Again!

We’re already seeing President Trump get to work for the American people in his first days in office. From securing our southern border, to lowering costs for families and protecting our individual rights from government overreach, signing Executive Orders on inflation, immigration, foreign policy and even designating criminal cartels as terrorists. I look forward to President Trump getting America back on track. Look at his record – he’s done it before!

Meanwhile, billionaire Governor, JB Pritzker immediately took issue with President Trump’s work, jumping on his high-horse to decry the Trump Administration’s decision to end birthright citizenship. Pritzker blasted the decision saying “In Illinois, we follow the law…Illinoisans can count on me to stand against unconstitutional actions.”

If JB Pritzker wants to defend Illinois from unconstitutional actions, he should start by looking in the mirror.

DON’T FORGET that parts of Pritzker’s SAFE-T Act were ruled unconstitutional by a Kankakee County judge.

DON’T FORGET that Illinois’ court system ruled that Pritzker and his crony Democrats attempt to remove the ability to slate candidates without a primary was unconstitutional.

DON’T FORGET that a Federal Judge ruled Pritzker’s assault weapons ban unconstitutional.

Bottom Line: If JB Pritzker wants to get serious about combatting unconstitutionality, he should start by looking in the mirror at his own grandstanding policy agenda.

Americans made it clear in November 2024: they want change, unity, and real solutions. With President Trump and a Republican Congress, we can lower costs, create jobs, and restore our nation’s strength. Illinois Republicans are ready to work with President Trump to build a stronger, more united, and prosperous future.

Despite the frigid temperatures, the joy and relief from the past four years kept us warm. We also examined the voting records of all the commissioned Republican election judges in the City of Chicago, suburban Cook County, St. Clair County, and East St. Louis. Many of these so-called Republican election judges have a history of voting in Democratic primaries. This is unacceptable. We must do a better job of ensuring that our Republican election judge positions are filled by true Republicans who reflect our values. Now more than ever, we need all eyes on the ballot.
