The Balter Bulletin - Tuesday, May 26, 2020
Friends,
I'm pleased to share with you some updates from recent weeks as our campaign continues to move forward. We’ve worked hard to stay connected with people across the district during these challenging times. I’ve been talking to voters every day about our shared vision for the future.
This evening, I’m making another virtual trip to voters’ living rooms. At 6 pm, I will be hosting a virtual town hall called, "COVID-19: Getting Through and Moving Forward." We’ll talk about the great challenges we’re facing and what we can learn from this crisis. I hope you’ll join us.
This event is free and open to the public. For the Zoom call-in information, please RSVP here: [link removed]
Thanks for being in touch, and stay safe!
- Dana
P.S. Make sure to follow all the CDC guidelines for preventing and containing COVID-19 here.
NEW ENDORSEMENTS
We were honored in the last week to receive the support of Planned Parenthood Federation of America and State Senator Rachel May.
Dana is an unapologetic advocate for a woman’s right to choose, and knows that the attacks on Planned Parenthood from Donald Trump -- whom John Katko has enthusiastically endorsed -- have broad ramifications across the medical field. Planned Parenthood knows that this is one of our best shots to defeat an anti-choice Trump rubber stamp.
Senator May is the highest-ranking elected Democrat in NY-24. Her support sends a strong signal that Dana has what it takes to mobilize a winning coalition in this swing district.
We continue to have the most endorsements in this primary, both locally and nationally, and we look forward to continuing to earn the support of people and organizations that are central to the progressive cause.
RUNNING OUR FIRST TV AD
Earlier this month, we launched our first TV ad of the cycle. Please watch it here (and then chip in, if you can, to help us keep the ad on the air through June 23): [link removed]
It's called “Together,” and highlights how Dana continues to connect with voters from all four counties in our district - even in the midst of a pandemic. It tells the story of Dana’s advocacy for her brother who has cognitive disabilities, her work as a teacher for people with disabilities, and her time serving as the Director of Education for a disabilities services non-profit.
We need to make sure that voters hear Dana's message as they make their final decisions, and we need to raise $2,301 more this week for our next ad buy. Can you chip in to help us keep running our ad?

REMINDERS ON ABSENTEE VOTING FOR THE PRIMARY
There's still plenty of time to apply for an absentee ballot. Governor Cuomo has announced that those wishing to vote by absentee ballot because of COVID-19 concerns, may select "temporary illness” on the absentee ballot application. To request an absentee ballot or if you have any questions regarding your registration status, visit your county board of elections website (Cayuga, Onondaga, Oswego, Wayne). You can also visit our website for a helpful guide on how to vote from home: [link removed]
