Welcome to Sister District DC/VA! Sister District is a grassroots community of friends and neighbors who are working together to support strategic state elections in states that need our help. We are one of many teams across the country, and our team is based in Washington, DC and Northern VA.
** How it Works

Sister District national was started by five women in the San Francisco Bay Area after Trump was elected in 2016. They, along with a small team of staff, coordinate Sister District efforts across the country, including developing our 2019-2020 political strategy ([link removed]) , and working directly with campaigns to develop volunteer programming.
Our local team is lead by a group of volunteer District Captains (team leaders), who organize specific local events and manage our day-to-day activities. Right now, we’re actively looking for folks to help with logistics and planning events. If you think that might be you, please reply directly to this email!
Our team is currently supporting ([link removed]) Hala Ayala ([link removed]) and ([link removed]) Josh Cole ([link removed]) . 2019 is a huge year for Virginia—Democrats are just two seats down from flipping both the House of Delegates and the Senate, which would make the state a Democratic trifecta. Help us get this amazing candidate elected! We've helped the campaigns of candidates in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Florida, and 4 of the 5 candidates we've supported have won their races!

** What You Can Do Right Now
