Check out the below email from right wing mouthpiece FreedomWorks. Infuriating, right? 

The United States Postal Service is a vital lifeline for millions of Americans, particularly in this time of crisis when so many of us are stuck at home. It delivers medicine and music, books and ballots, postcards and packages, groceries and greeting cards, and so much more. It’s an essential foundation of our nation that dates all the way back to the very first Postmaster General, Benjamin Franklin. 

Supporting the post office shouldn’t be partisan, it just shouldn’t. What’s partisan about delivering grandma’s birthday card?

But of course -- conservatives don't want us to have nice things, so here we are, emailing you today. A few weeks ago, we joined 105 other civil rights groups to call for robust funding for the U.S. Postal Service (read about it by clicking here). Now we’re asking you to help turn up the drumbeat: 

First: Send a letter (with a stamp!) to your Member of Congress about why you love the post office. Find their address by clicking here, then send us an email letting us know you’ve put it in the mail. 

Second: Call your Senator and tell them to pass the Heroes Act without watering it down. Passed by the House on May 15th, this new COVID response bill includes (among many other important things) $25 billion in funding for the USPS. Click here to get the call script and call today.
