Hi John, When I ran for Congress for the first time in 2018, my goal was to restore accountability and integrity to this seat, and it started with meeting upstate New Yorkers exactly where they’re at and listening. I know we aren't always going to agree on everything, but we have got to start by having civil conversations – really listening to each other – in order to find achievable solutions. So that’s what my campaign did: we held town hall after town hall, hearing folks talk about their needs, and with a groundswell of grassroots support, I was elected to represent New York’s 19th District in the U.S. House, where I've since been putting in the work day in and out. For too long, hardworking families have been left behind by elected officials in Washington who vote to take away health care and give tax breaks to the super rich on the backs of working people. During my time in Congress, I’ve fought for universal affordable health care, tax breaks for working families, and greater opportunities for our farmers and small businesses – and I want to continue getting results for my district. But this November, Republicans are looking to take back this seat and return to business as usual. We can’t let that happen. In order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in my district and across the country, my campaign is doing our part by canceling all in-person events, moving to a digital operation, and supporting local efforts to help those in need. It’s made fundraising all the more challenging ahead of November’s election, and that’s why I’m asking: Will you split a contribution between mine and Adam’s campaigns today to support our re-election and help us hold the Democratic House Majority so we can continue to fight for you in Washington?
