We also implemented a Safety Management System to report safety issues or concerns on the airside of the airport. Our project design support for the Sustainable Aviation Fuels Research and Development facility at Paine Field reflects our commitment to environmental sustainability. Additionally, we finalized the Airport’s Title VI program and completed fluorine-free foam agent training for all firefighting personnel, further ensuring safety and compliance.
As we look forward to 2025, we have an ambitious agenda that promises to build on our recent successes. We will complete the relocation of Airport Administration to our newly remodeled building adjacent to the airport. This will enhance our administrative efficiency and provide a better working environment for our staff.
We are set to take delivery of two new Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) trucks that will offer state-of-the-art capabilities and utilize fluorine-free foam agents.
On the airfield construction front, the final phases of the East Ramp, Taxiway Foxtrot, and Taxilane Echo rehabilitation projects are scheduled for completion, which will significantly improve our infrastructure. We also intend to finalize the phasing plan for the reconstruction of the main runway, set to be spread out over several years.
Updated Minimum Standards and Rules and Regulations are scheduled to be adopted to ensure our operations are aligned with current industry standards.
In May, we will host the second Paine Field Community Day, fostering stronger community ties and engagement. In June, we are thrilled to host teams and visitors for the FIFA Club World Cup, showcasing our facilities on an international stage.

January is National Human Trafficking Prevention month
 January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Every year, Paine Field dedicates the month to raise awareness about human trafficking and to educate the public about how to identify and prevent this crime. For PAE, it's a time to raise awareness, support survivors, and work to end human trafficking.
Human trafficking is a crime that comes in many forms, including sex trafficking, forced labor, and domestic servitude resulting from fraud, coercion, or threats of violence.
On January 11, our staff joined airports and other entities across the country for National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, otherwise known as #WearBlueDay. Our team spent the day educating airport users to recognize the indicators of human trafficking, and how to appropriately respond to possible cases. Wearing seatbelts while driving on the airfield is not just a best practice; it is a requirement under our airport Rules and Regulations.
The role of seatbelts in enhancing safety cannot be overstated. In the unfortunate event of an accident, wearing a seatbelt significantly reduces the risk of injury or worse outcomes. It is our responsibility to prioritize safety, not only for ourselves but also for our colleagues and users at the airport. Airport staff will be educating on the requirement if the behavior is observed.

Paine Field will once again be hosting a booth at the Washington Aviation Association's preeminent Northwest Aviation Conference & Trade Show, set for February 22 and 23 at the Washington State Fair Events Center in Puyallup. Over the years, the event has grown to over 75 hours of safety seminars and 122,000 square feet of aviation displays with an annual attendance of over 10,000.

Congratulations
Capt. Tony Mace recently completed the National Fire Academy Managing Officer program. The Managing Officer program is two years, comprised of four unique courses requiring the participant to develop and complete a capstone project directly benefitting the officer's department and community. Capt. Mace's capstone project focused on the benefits of a training officer working a day shift schedule versus a 24-hour shift.
Cody Engdahl and Paul Anderson recently earned their Airport Certified Employee in Security from the American Association of Airport Executives.
Kennedy Vessey recently earned her Certified Member (C.M.) from the American Association of Airport Executives.
Josiah Gulke, Edgar Tavares and Jordan McFarland recently completed the Basic and Advanced Airport Safety and Operations Specialist (ASOS) Schools. ASOS courses are designed to make the individual aware of Part 139 airport certification program and other safety responsibilities, as well as to enhance the professionalism of airport operations personnel.

 In November, Paine Field Airport staff and local airfield businesses teamed up for a successful Food Drive. Thanks to your generosity, we filled our tour bus with essential weekend meal supplies for Hawthorne Elementary students and their families facing food insecurity during holiday breaks. Your support is making a direct and positive impact—thank you!
Nearly 90% of students attending Hawthorne Elementary School in North Everett rely on the free or reduced lunch assistance program. Unfortunately, on weekends, a significant number of these students go without meals. Over the past 16 years, Hawthorne Elementary School has been a beacon of hope through its "Weekend Food Backpack Program." This initiative entails providing backpacks filled with non-perishable meal supplies to children enrolled in the school lunch program so that they can have food over the weekend. Come Monday, the students return with their emptied backpacks, which are then refilled for the upcoming Friday.
