Stepping into 2025! Donald Trump is sworn in as the 47th president of the United States at the Capitol in Washington, DC on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Dear Colorado Republicans,
As we reflect on this past year, we are filled with immense gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication. Together, we’ve made 2024 a transformative year for the Colorado Republican Party, achieving historic milestones while overcoming significant challenges.
Review of the 2023 Transition Challenges and Financial Recovery
Under Kristi Burton Brown’s (KBB) failed leadership, registered Republican voters in Colorado plummeted from approximately 1.1 million to just under 928,000, a staggering loss of over 170,000 voters. However, under Chairman Dave Williams and his America First agenda, we reversed this trend and stopped the decline. By 2024, registered Republican voters began to increase modestly, marking a critical turning point for our party.
Since taking office our numbers have slightly grown to 938,883. The hemorrhaging has been stopped with a moderate increase in membership.
The facts are clear: under Dave’s leadership, we did not lose Republicans. The claims made by the failed coup activists and establishment politicians and the fake news media are false.
The 2023 transition into leadership was anything but smooth. Despite being assured there was $100,000 in the bank, we discovered significant roadblocks: the KBB administration withheld access to bank accounts, QuickBooks, and essential passwords needed for daily operations. By May 2023, it was relieved, only $8,769.55 remained in the non-allocated account (main account).
Special thank you to our Secretary Anna Ferguson and Treasurer Tom Bjorklund. Anna and Tom conducted a thorough audit, uncovering financial mismanagement, including 3 months of unpaid rent totaling over $9,000, frivolous auto-withdrawals, and unnecessary payments for health and dental insurance. By canceling wasteful expenses, freezing accounts, and shutting off debit cards, we clawed back tens of thousands of dollars. Despite the previous administration awarding $45,000 in bonuses while losing five State House seats and one Congressional seat, we stabilized finances, negotiated a rent repayment plan, and restored financial integrity. We expanded our America First Patriot grassroots small donor base and Joint Fundraising, surpassing the levels achieved under KBB's leadership.

Legal Victories and Colorado AMERICA FIRST Patriots Triumphs
Following the 2024 primary, a small but vocal fringe minority coup launched an unwarranted and baseless assault against the Colorado America First Republican Party. This attack, aimed at dismantling our leadership and movement, included personal lawsuits targeting Chairman Dave Williams, Vice Chairwoman Hope Scheppelman, and Secretary Anna Ferguson.
On August 31, 2024, at the Official Special State Central Committee Meeting, the true voice of Colorado’s America First Patriots rang loud and clear. In a decisive roll-call vote, the overwhelming majority stood united in defense of the current administration. WE THE PEOPLE the Colorado America First Patriots spoke with conviction, rejecting the efforts of the fringe minority coup to sabotage the Colorado America First movement.
VICTORY came again on September 26, 2024, when an El Paso court delivered a landmark ruling in favor of Chairman Dave Williams, Vice Chairwoman Hope Scheppelman, and Secretary Anna Ferguson. The court found that the rogue actions of the fringe minority coup blatantly violated state bylaws, which require a 3/5 majority vote of the entire membership for such measures. Their illegitimate meeting on August 24, 2024, was ruled invalid, and their coup attempt was nullified. This resounding legal victory upheld the integrity of our America First Patriot Republican values, sending a clear message: the will of We the People cannot and will not be undermined.
We prevailed. We won. Together, we remain stronger than ever.
Historic Milestones
Over the past 2 years, we celebrated significant victories:
* SCOTUS Case Win: Ensuring President Donald J. Trump remained on the primary ballot, a triumph of grassroots determination.
* Trump Endorsement: The Colorado GOP made history by officially endorsing President Trump, uniting Republicans ahead of 2024.
* Fundraising Success: We expanded our American First grassroots donor base to its highest in 15 years, securing vital funds for outreach and voter engagement.
* Closing the Open Primary Effort: Partnering with former Senator Kevin Lundberg, we advanced a lawsuit to restore party integrity in primary elections.
* Uncovering Corruption and Securing Elections: Exposed blatant corruption by Secretary of State Jena Griswold, who recklessly compromised Colorado’s election integrity by publicly posting highly sensitive BIOS passwords online for months. This shocking breach allowed potential unauthorized access to confidential election systems, violating security protocols and undermining trust in the electoral process.
At the April State Assembly, with Congressman Matt Gaetz as our special guest, over 2,000 delegates passed resolutions endorsing Republican candidates per-primary and opting out of the 2026 open primary. Thanks to the Teller Team's meticulous hand-counting of paper ballots, we upheld election integrity throughout the Colorado State Assembly.
Empowering Republican Candidates
Through unwavering dedication and teamwork, we empowered over 220 Republican candidates across Colorado by providing essential resources, including the Numinar canvassing tool, strategic messaging, and access to a network of volunteers. These volunteers tirelessly made calls, knocked on doors, and cured ballots in tightly contested races. Together, we achieved a historic milestone: gained critical ground by flipping three Colorado State House seats, shattered the super minority in the State House, and winning a total of five seats, including monumental victories in the 8th Congressional District, both in Congress and on the Board of Education. These remarkable achievements marked a turning point, with successes unseen in over a decade.
But we didn’t stop there. The tides are turning a handful of Counties are shifting red, signaling a bold new chapter for Colorado. These victories are not just wins on a map; they are a resounding testament to the power of Colorado America First grassroots patriots determination and the strength of our conservative movement.
A Bright Future Ahead
President Donald J. Trump’s October rally in Aurora united over 20,000 supporters against the chaos wrought by illegal entry and gang activity. Together, we helped secure critical swing states and achieved the ultimate victory: electing President Trump as the 47th President of the United States.
As we prepare to hold Jena Griswold accountable for the BIOS password leak and continue fighting for secure elections, we are reminded of your strength, dedication, and belief in our shared mission.
Special Acknowledgments
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Secretary Anna Ferguson, Assistant Secretary Liz Temple, and Volunteer Debbie Perry-Smith for their extraordinary efforts. When I was tasked with organizing a memorable experience for the Colorado Delegation in the absence of our RNC Committeewoman, they stepped up with unwavering support and dedication. Together, we overcame significant challenges to ensure the RNC Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was a resounding success. What typically takes a year and a half to accomplish was achieved in just two months, earning them well-deserved praise and admiration
Our collaborative work culminated in partnering with the Trump Inaugural Committee to plan the 60th Presidential Inauguration events, once again stepping up in the absence of our RNC Committeewoman. This dedicated team has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure Colorado Republicans remain informed, engaged, and proudly represented on the national stage. Kudos to them for their exceptional leadership and commitment!
Looking Ahead
As we step into 2025, we extend our deepest gratitude to all who made this year possible. Together, we are building a brighter future for Colorado and our America First movement.
Stepping into 2025 America First,
Vice Chairwoman, Hope Scheppelman
