The eighth COVID-19 Conversations webinar will discuss how to best mitigate direct
and indirect impacts of COVID-19 over the coming summer months, including continuing
economic challenges, addressing the "health debt" accrued from months
of prioritization of urgent care, preparing for concurrent emergencies like hurricanes
and wildfires as COVID-19 remains a threat, and protecting vulnerable populations from violence and disorder.
The webinar will begin with an introduction from the session's moderator, Nicole
Lurie, and then feature a panel discussion among expert speakers, including:
-
Linda Degutis, DrPH, MSN
- Adjunct Professor, Emory University Rollins School of Public Health
and Lecturer, Yale School of Medicine
-
Craig Fugate - former administrator of FEMA and former director
of the Florida Emergency Management Division

The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session with the webinar audience.
