He’ll continue rolling back decades of progress if we don’t act now

John, in 2023 President Biden’s administration formed the first ever federal Office of Gun Violence Prevention. I was so grateful for this historic step toward lowering violent crime and shedding light on our epidemic of gun violence.

But now, after only a couple days in office, President Trump has dismantled the program.

And just a day later, a school shooting in Nashville resulted in the death of a student.

As someone who’s lost a family member to gun violence, I’m furious. And as a Congresswoman and leader in our gun safety movement, I’m more committed than ever to fight back and continue pushing for common-sense gun safety legislation.

If these first few days are a sign of what’s to come under Donald Trump’s presidency, we should all take warning. Decades of progress on gun violence prevention are at risk.

We need bipartisan leadership to step up and fight for what’s in Americans’ best interests – not the gun lobbies. I’m ready to lead this work. If you’re with me, please rush a donation today to help me continue my leadership in Congress.
