The Democratic Party will elect its next chair on February 1, and one fact remains clear: we cannot continue business as usual.

Our party needs leaders committed to supporting middle- and working-class Americans. The only way that will happen is if we ban corporate money from the DNC and reject super PACs in Democratic primaries.

I’ve never taken PAC or lobbyist money, and I never will. When I was first elected, I co-founded the No PAC Caucus and introduced a bill to ban all PAC and lobbyist money from Congress, because I firmly believe that our government should work for the people—not billionaires or special interests.

Americans want to unrig Washington. To make that happen, we need to unrig the Democratic party. That starts with the DNC election in February.
