Last week, I was proud to work with my colleague Senator Patty Murray to introduce a Senate resolution honoring the service of women in the Armed Forces. The goals of this resolution are to recognize the bravery and sacrifice of female servicemembers in combat roles and to celebrate their achievements.
This resolution is as important as ever in light of Pete Hegseth’s offensive comments about women in the military.
If you watched Pete Hegseth’s confirmation hearing, you know that he tried to take back his past comments about female servicemembers—even though he has said on the record that we “should not have women in combat roles.”
Contrary to what Pete Hegseth may think, women have always made our military stronger. We wouldn’t be able to go to war without the over 225,000 women serving on active duty today.
I will always advocate for the women in our Armed Forces who sacrifice so much for our country. If you’d like to support me in this critical work, will you contribute $ASK to my campaign today?
