Virtual Lawyer Training: Preparing Nonprofits For Attacks

We The Action

Nonprofits play a vital role in society by addressing needs that are often unmet by the private sector and government. But recently, they have come under attack. Come learn the ways in which nonprofits may be threatened, where the needs are, and what you can do to help these organizations as a volunteer lawyer. This is a remote workshop, and lawyers may be barred in any state.

Intake and Legal Assistance for Adoptees Without Citizenship

Adoptees For Justice

Over 300,000 children have been adopted from abroad by U.S. citizen parents. Some of these adoptees’ parents did not complete the necessary processes to provide their adopted children with citizenship or, in many cases, even a green card. Help Adoptees Without Citizenship with current needs, defend against removal, and reopen immigration cases so they can return to the only home they've ever known. This is a remote project, and lawyers may be barred in any state.

Offer Legal Assistance for Korean Americans Experiencing Immigration Challenges

NAKASEC (National Korean American Service & Education Consortium)

NAKASEC was formed to organize Korean American communities and build coalitions with other communities of color with shared values toward collective liberation at the national level. Lawyers are needed to respond to community members experiencing challenges in the immigration system. Korean language is preferred. This is a remote project, and lawyers may be barred in any state.
