John, it’s the week we’ve all been dreading:
The beginning of convicted felon Donald Trump’s second term as president.
California’s situation is dire, but Trump isn’t focused on helping—instead, he’s pardoning criminals who attacked law enforcement and killing environmental protection efforts.
Just hours after he returned to the White House on Monday, Trump pardoned over 1,500 Jan. 6 Capitol rioters, including people convicted of assaulting police officers.
He also signed an executive order rescinding the Biden-Harris directive to lower prescription drug costs, proving once again that he doesn’t care about lowering costs for the American people.
Trump and the Republican trifecta will only continue to abuse executive powers, cut critical programs, and pass legislation that only serves their megadonors and extremist allies.
Our biggest job in Congress is to hold Trump accountable, John.
We can't afford to sit back and watch as Trump and his allies roll out their extreme agenda. In Washington, I’ll continue to stand up for the San Gabriel Valley and families across the country alongside our Democratic coalition.
We have a lot of work to do, and building a better future starts now. John, can you chip in what you can to help us fight back and win the majority in 2026? >>
