Make a New Year resolution

January is often used as a reset button in our lives. All of the bad habits from last year can be wiped away because this year is a fresh beginning. Often, we launch the new year with resolutions. We resolve to eat better, exercise more or watch less television. For most people, these hopeful goals are abandoned before February arrives.

What if we turned our New Year’s resolutions in a different direction in 2025 and resolve to experience more of what Wyoming has to offer? What if we were determined to climb more mountains or see more sunrises? This could be the year you catch your first fish or tie your first fly. Or maybe it’s the year you catch 1,000 fish and tie 1,000 flies. This year is yours to shape. Maybe there is a species of Wyoming wildlife you have always wanted to see. It could be the elusive alpine pika or the nocturnal tiger salamander. Maybe it’s a beautiful western tanager or the industrious American beaver.

All of these incredible animals call Wyoming home. Instead of placing your hope in something boring like exercise, try coming up with a really wild resolution. Resolve to think outside of the box and set goals based in nature this year. Download the sheet below and fill out your resolutions!
