Mia rode to the ball in a carriage, like every princess should, as part of a grand parade. A marching band, the local fire department, the sheriffs’ mounted patrol and the school football team and cheerleaders joined in, while 100 neighbors cheered her on.
And when she arrived at the ball, a pink throne and 80 loved ones awaited.
Then came the big moment. Leading up to Mia’s wish day, she and her dad had taken dance lessons.
So as music filled the ballroom that day, a father and his daughter graced the dance floor together, knowing a wheelchair could never stand in their way.
No longer a princess-in-waiting, Mia had a royal ball, befitting of a true princess. Her smile lit up the room, a celebration of the power of a wish and the kindness of people like you.
Your support not only brought a young girl’s fairytale to life. You gave Mia the chance to experience joy away from her medical treatments and to find strength as she fought a critical illness. Please make an additional gift if you can so more kids get to feel the joy and strength a wish can bring.
