Friend, yesterday marked a new chapter for our country — one that has many of us feeling unsure about what lies ahead.

But I refuse to give up hope.

Like many of you, I share concerns about what this new era of leadership can bring. It's hard to ignore the fear surrounding the challenges we face.

Instead, I invite you all to focus on our shared strength, our resilience, and the unshakable belief that progress is still within our reach. Just look at all we've been able to accomplish together — we've enshrined reproductive freedom in New York, we've championed LGBTQ+ equality, and we've secured hard-fought wins for working families.

And I promise you this: I am not going to just give up.

It is each of you that inspires me to keep fighting every day. To fight for the restoration and protection of our reproductive freedoms. To fight for fair wages and workers’ rights. And to fight in defense of the fundamental pillars that make up our democracy.

Fearless fighters like you are what motivate me to keep moving forward and keep fighting, no matter the odds. And I know that together, we'll continue to defend our values, fight for justice, and protect the progress we've worked so hard to gain.
