DeSantis calls special elections for Florida Legislature following voter lawsuit
* Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) called ([link removed]) special elections Tuesday for two vacant seats in the legislature after he failed to do so for two months — resulting in a lawsuit from voters.
* In two executive orders, he scheduled elections to fill seats held by state Rep. Joel Rudman (R) and state Sen. Randy Fine (R), who both announced their resignations in November to run for Congress.
* Both special elections are June 10, with the primaries April 1. DeSantis scheduling the elections likely moots the lawsuit.
