Friend — Last night, I joined with elected officials and grassroots leaders from across Massachusetts along with thousands of grassroots supporters for an organizing call in the wake of Trump’s inauguration. (If you were there, thank you!)
It gave me hope.
It gave me hope because, despite the dark times, despite Trump already doing everything he can to attack our vulnerable communities, we proved that Massachusetts is not backing down from the fight. We don’t, agonize. We organize!
Hearing from Senator Elizabeth Warren, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell, union leaders, civil rights leaders, and many more showed just how much we are ready to do to oppose Trump’s far-right extremist agenda and make real progress for the families and workers of this country.
There are so many people who are energized and ready to work together, and keeping up that grassroots energy will be the key to our success in hard fought battles over the coming years.
So if you want to help us follow up on the momentum of last night's call, I’m asking you to make a contribution of $5 or whatever you can afford today.
Help us continue to build this grassroots movement, a movement that stands for justice, fairness, and the rights and dignity of all people.
So once again, if you joined us last night, thank you. If you didn’t, I hope to have the opportunity to see you soon and continue to fight together for our future.
In solidarity,
Ed Markey
