Team –

Today marks the anniversary of Roe v. Wade – the landmark decision that once ensured women across the country had the right to access fundamental abortion care.

Since Roe fell at the hands of extremists, women across the nation have faced countless barriers – with many even losing their lives – in their fight to access basic healthcare. These challenges have hit marginalized communities, particularly women of color and lower-income families, the hardest.

Restricting access to abortion care will never end abortion. It will only end safe and legal abortion, putting more lives at risk. Often women are being forced to travel out of state for care, navigating long wait times and financial barriers for a procedure that should be accessible and affordable.

In Congress I will always champion reproductive freedom and will never stop fighting for a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions. I will continue to stand against proposals that limit care, jeopardize lives, and interfere in deeply personal healthcare decisions. Reproductive care is healthcare, and no judge or politician should stand between a woman and her doctor.

If you agree join me in calling on Congress to codify the right to safe, legal abortion care into law by adding your name to my petition on today's anniversary. >> [link removed]
