Friend,
Last week, I delivered the State of the State Address and touched on what I think is one of the most critical issues facing our state.

That’s why I’m writing you this note. Please read what I have to say and then chip in whatever you can to help us continue this important fight .

Friend, I’ve talked to hardworking Georgians across the state.
I’ve held roundtables with small businesses across a wide range of industries, healthcare providers from Albany to Toccoa, and some of our state’s largest employers.
You know what I’m hearing from them?
Small business owners across the state are unable to afford skyrocketing insurance costs.
A hospital in northeast Georgia was forced to close their labor and delivery unit due to workforce challenges and soaring insurance costs.
A South Georgia grocer lost their insurance coverage completely after frivolous lawsuits were filed.
These are just a few of the countless stories across Georgia.
Whether it’s your local coffee shop, grocery store, hospital, or childcare facility, far too many are being burdened with frivolous lawsuits, skyrocketing insurance costs, or no insurance options at all.
And all of those costs get passed down to hardworking Georgians like YOU.
We can’t put a bandaid on this problem. We’ve got to fix the root of the issue.

That’s why I announced I am introducing comprehensive reform to stabilize costs, protect businesses, and ensure access to care.

As a small business owner for more than 35 years, I know that if you can’t get insurance, you can’t run a business, and you can’t pay your employees.
And nobody can afford to spend years – and millions – in the courtroom battling to keep the doors of their small business open.
Make no mistake, we will do what is right by the people of our state. We will be fair to all involved in this important debate… and we will work together to put hardworking Georgians first!
Because if we take seriously our mission to keep Georgia the best place to live, work, and raise a family for the next generation, we have to get off the sidelines and get to work!

But, we can’t get all of this done on our own, which is why I’m urging you to donate just $15 or more to support our mission and help us deliver real results for our state.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
Governor Kemp

A MESSAGE FROM BRIAN KEMP

More than 35 years ago, I started my first business with nothing but a pickup truck and a shovel.
Since taking office as Governor of Georgia in 2019, I’ve put hardworking Georgians and their families first!
We’ve championed legislation to cut taxes for working families, crack down on crime, end human trafficking, reform foster care and adoption, and support our students and educators.
When Georgia became the first state to reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic, I made sure we protected both lives and livelihoods. As a result, we’ve seen historic economic investment, and we’ve continued to lead the way in creating opportunities at every corner of the state.
And we’re not stopping there!
Marty, the girls, and I are working hard to ensure Georgia’s best days are ahead of us.
But, we can’t do it alone. Our accomplishments are only possible with a team of strong grassroots supporters like YOU by my side.

So, today I’m asking for your support in my continued fight to improve the way of life for hardworking families. Will you join me?
Thank you,
Brian Kemp
