** Day one was great, but we're just getting started.
------------------------------------------------------------
Fox Business ([link removed]) (1/21/25) reports: "President Donald Trump signed dozens of executive orders on the first day of his second term Monday, and his actions on energy are being celebrated by industry and business groups. The president's executive order, 'Unleashing American Energy' consists of several executive actions, including scrapping many of former President Biden's climate initiatives, such as the 'electric vehicle (EV) mandate.' Trump also declared a National Energy Emergency, pulled out of the Paris Climate Accord, ordered the heads of multiple federal agencies to expedite permitting applications and directed the Secretary of Energy to relaunch a review of applications for approvals of liquefied natural gas export projects, which Biden had paused. Several energy industry and business groups hailed the measures...American Energy Alliance (AEA) President Tom Pyle took a swipe at the previous administration in
his statement, saying, 'Unburdened by what has been, President Trump is making good on his promise to immediately begin unwinding the reckless energy policies of the Biden-Harris administration.' 'Unfortunately, there is much more work to be done,' Pyle said. 'The American Energy Alliance cataloged over 250 actions that former President Biden and his team took to make the production of American energy harder and more expensive. We look forward to working with the Trump administration and the new Congress to unleash our energy potential and lower energy prices for all Americans.'"

** "Government regulations and taxpayer-funded subsidies have rewarded inefficiencies, hampered competition, and increased the price of the energy."

The time for the green gravy train will soon come to an end.
** Against Crony Capitalism ([link removed])
(1/9/24) substack: "Let me say from the outset that we are environmentalists here at Against Crony Capitalism. We are for a much cleaner planet. We are for conservation when it makes sense and when done respecting property rights. We are for innovation that reduces pollution. We love the ocean, hiking the mountains, and looking into a clear night sky full of stars. But much of what is called 'green' that comes out of Washington, and the EU, and is championed by entities like the United Nations is just flat out crony capitalism. We’re sure that some ethical honest work is done here and there, but generally the 'green' agenda is about lining the pockets of giant corporations and crony capitalists lurking within the government and the non-profit world. Many of the people who populate these political corners somehow convince themselves that stealing from the taxpayer, and then laundering it to their friends (and themselves) via government is somehow actually ethical. Take the person above.
There is little doubt that they think they are doing the right thing by shoveling your taxpayer money to their connected friends. It is interesting that the person featured in the video says they would like to work in the future for one of the organizations that is getting the billions (BILLIONS) of your money, money facilitated by the politico. Usually cronies aren’t so obvious."

Was anyone aware Colorado had cold winters?

The energy you need to survive severe weather should never be dependent on the weather.
** The Carolina Journal ([link removed])
(1/21/25) reports: "Just like the Old Farmer’s Almanac forecasted, the East Coast is bracing for a snowy winter storm in late January, maybe especially in eastern North Carolina, bringing excitement to kids and warnings from emergency officials and utility companies. The brunt of the winter weather is expected to impact North Carolina starting Tuesday evening and into Wednesday. Out ahead of the storm, though, Duke Energy — the state’s primary electric utility — is asking customers to take it easy on their thermostats as temperatures drop to well below average...A study from the North American Electric Reliability Cooperation found that, if the power grid becomes dependent on solar and wind, a simple chain of cloudy days could turn the power off for thousands of homes. An extreme cold snap or increased demand like the one over the 2022 Christmas holiday, or the winter storm this week, could wreak havoc. 'Wind and solar are making the grid more unreliable as they gain share,' the NERC
report read in July 2022. The Institute for Energy Research also warned of growing disruptions back in the summer of 2022, as usage spiked during remote work and shutdowns. 'The duration of operator-initiated load shedding events spiked, and unserved energy demand reached its highest levels ever,' their report read. 'No longer is peak demand the only clear risk to reliability — risks can emerge when weather-dependent generation is impacted by abnormal atmospheric conditions or when extreme conditions disrupt fuel supplies.'"
