John,
Monday’s inauguration was a clarion call to action, urging us to devise new strategies, envision new possibilities, and new pathways forward. This week in our country represents a confluence of forces both for and obstructing justice. At Common Future, we are coalescing at this moment as an opportunity to activate the discipline of hope as we expect, anticipate, and outmaneuver authoritarianism and keep the torch burning for future generations. With this at the forefront of our minds—we’re sharing with you our Theory of Change, our vehicle for changing capital flows, building power, and creating new narratives. ([link removed])

This year, we are stepping forward as a more powerful force against injustice. Fundamentally, an equitable economy is anti-racist, pro-Black, and pro-Indigenous and centers on proximity and lived experience—and it’s already taking shape in our communities. Equipped with our Theory of Change, we’re ready to better support our partners and colleagues in this work, because our collective future depends on it.
In community,
Jennifer, Jess, and Sandhya
