Today marks the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, a landmark decision that protected the right to choose for nearly half a century.
But, john, this year feels different.
Roe is no longer the law of the land, and the ripple effects of its reversal have been devastating.
As a doctor, I’ve spent years working with patients as they make deeply personal decisions about their health and futures. I know that abortion is not political, it’s healthcare.
It’s about ensuring people can access the care they need when they need it, no matter their circumstances. Now, with Roe gone, we’re seeing the real consequences of the relentless attacks on reproductive freedom from extremist Republicans.
Patients are being denied life-saving care. Women are being forced to carry pregnancies against their will. And the attacks aren’t stopping with abortion. We know what’s next: Republicans have already started going after IVF and birth control. john, this is personal for me – I’ve spent years fighting for access to healthcare, and I refuse to let extremists take us backward.
That’s why, as your representative, I will always stand up for bodily autonomy. But I can’t do this alone. We need to send a clear message that we won’t stand for this. That’s why I’m asking you to take action today. Will you add your name to my petition to demand Republicans let us make our own healthcare decisions? → [link removed]
