Tell Elon Musk: Hands off our government!
John, Elon Musk wants all the access and power that comes with working in the White House – without any of the accountability.
Donald Trump (in exchange for millions in campaign cash, not to mention boosting him on X) is giving Musk an official White House email address, office space, and access to the inner workings of our government through his made-up “DOGE” – without having to be confirmed by the Senate and follow ethical standards that all other federal employees must abide by. [1]
Musk is getting exactly what he wants: unrestricted and unaccountable power in Trump’s government. And he's pledging to use it to cut trillions of dollars away from our schools, our healthcare, and our communities – all while helping enrich his Big Tech investments. [2]
Sign the Petition to Elon Musk: If you want top access to our government, you must follow the rules. Our government serves We The People, not unaccountable billionaires.
John, over and over again, Donald Trump has promised to “drain the swamp” in Washington, but his actions are painting a different picture.
Trump is giving Musk – a man who has benefitted from tens of billions of dollars in federal contracts – the ability to enrich his bottom line by making spending decisions. [3]
And Musk and other Big Tech billionaires got front row seats at Trump’s inauguration, while ordinary people who supported him were left out in the cold.
Now, Musk is already using his newfound prominence to spread the same hate he’s allowing unchecked on his social media site – making a now-infamous salute during Trump’s rally on Monday night that white nationalists are celebrating as a call to action. [4]
It’s the same old playbook with all of these wannabe oligarchs: buying their way to power and pushing their hateful agenda, at everyone else’s expense.
But luckily, our government doesn’t work like one of Musk’s companies – there’s no room for a king.
The Constitution clearly grants Congress power to control the budget and act as a check on the executive branch. That means Musk can’t unilaterally slash crucial government programs like he wants to, and can’t hide his efforts from public scrutiny.
Add your name if you agree: We won’t stand by and watch our government be treated like part of Musk's tech empire. We don’t answer to a king – if Musk wants power, he must play by the rules.
Thanks for all you do,
