Today marks the 52nd anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark decision on Roe v. Wade, which guaranteed reproductive freedom for women across the country.

But in 2022, a conservative Supreme Court majority, made up of judges hand-picked by President Trump, repealed Roe v. Wade, stripped away our reproductive rights, and unleashed unprecedented attacks on the freedom for people to make their own healthcare decisions.

In the two years since Roe was overturned, we have seen extreme abortion bans enacted in dozens of states across the country. Right here in Ohio, Republicans tried to ban abortion, but Ohioans stood together to enshrine reproductive freedom in the Ohio Constitution.

But with Trump back in the White House, we know this fight is far from over. If J.D. Vance, Donald Trump, the Republican Majorities in the House and Senate, and other extreme Republicans have it their way, they’ll pass a national, total abortion ban.
