As someone who believes in equitable, affordable health care and reproductive freedom, I'm deeply alarmed by the fallout from the Supreme Court’s June 2022 ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Overnight, millions faced the loss of their reproductive freedom — routine medical services became illegal, and women's health care was severely hampered. 

And in the time since that decision, we’ve seen attacks on reproductive health care for military members, states that have enacted extreme bans on abortion and IVF treatments, and extreme right-wing leaders legalizing bounty hunters to go after people seeking health care.

Amidst these setbacks, it’s critical we strengthen our efforts to reclaim our hard-won rights. Achieving that goal towards broader health care justice demands immediate action and support.

Let’s remember: the majority of Americans support protecting these rights, making the GOP's draconian moves even more glaringly out of touch. Their obstructionism goes beyond reproductive health — they are endangering marginalized Americans with their bigotry and disregard.
