On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court ruled that every American has a constitutional right to an abortion. 52 years later, those reproductive freedoms have been stripped away by Donald Trump and his allies.

During Trump’s first term, he appointed three right-wing justices to the Supreme Court who eventually overturned Roe v. Wade — ripping away the right to an abortion from tens of millions of women across the country.

Now, more than 1 in 3 American women live under some form of an abortion ban, and Republicans aren’t slowing down their efforts to further restrict reproductive healthcare access. Trump and his allies are dead set on limiting reproductive care and banning abortion nationwide .

As a woman and mother of two who has needed reproductive care in the past, the attacks on our rights are personal to me. I understand how critical it is for everyone to have access to safe, affordable, and effective reproductive care.

That’s why I joined the House Pro-Choice Caucus to fight for expanded access to reproductive care alongside several of my colleagues.

Everyone deserves the right to make their own decisions about their lives, bodies, and futures — and I will fight in Congress every day to restore that right.
