Thanks to the steadfast support of Voices for Public Transit members like you, our community made 2024 a year to remember. Together, we achieved significant milestones that will transform the future of America’s public transportation network. We are thankful for your continued commitment to strengthening our nation’s public transit systems.
2024 was a remarkable year for public transportation. From the passage of the 2024 Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development (THUD) bill to voters nationwide approving more than $25 billion in public transit investments, last year demonstrated the importance of—and demand for— strong, accessible, and sustainable public transportation for communities of all sizes. In 2025, we will welcome a new presidential administration and Congress into office, whose policymaking will shape the future of robust public transit investment. As Voices for Public Transit, we must keep raising awareness about the economic, environmental, and community benefits of public transportation and how the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act remains a cornerstone of public transit development.
Your support this year, and every year, truly makes a difference. As always, we will keep you updated on what’s to come in 2025 for public transportation.
