Yesterday, we connected with Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) partners on the ground in Los Angeles — public sector leaders, local nonprofits, philanthropic organizations, and community advocates — who are working tirelessly to support the families and communities affected by the fires.
We heard how important continued coordination across partners will be for the immediate and long-term recovery efforts. We're committed to supporting CGI partners who are working around the clock to raise critical funds, find temporary shelter and housing for displaced families, support small businesses, provide food and water, offer mental health and trauma services, amongst other critical services.
See a list of resources and how CGI partners are actively responding — along with ways you can help respond in this moment to support the people of Southern California. As the frequency and intensity of climate induced-disasters increase, the need for greater collaboration and creative partnerships will only continue to grow. CGI is committed to uplifting examples of what’s working as it relates to humanitarian response — work that can be scaled and replicated to support impacted families and communities in the new year ahead.
