Hi John,
On Monday, Trump was sworn in as President of the United States—and he wasted no time launching attacks on our rights. His executive orders already include unconstitutional attempts to strip certain babies born in the U.S. of their citizenship and redefine gender to biological sex, erasing protections for trans and nonbinary people. But here’s the thing: We are not backing down. The ACLU has already teamed up with immigrant rights advocates to sue the Trump administration over its attack on birthright citizenship. And just last Saturday, hundreds of you stood strong with us at the People’s March. Despite the freezing temperatures, we came together in unity, showing that our commitment to justice and equality is unwavering. The road ahead won’t be easy—but this is where the fight begins. Here’s how you can take action right now:
Stand Up for Immigrant Families: Attend our next Know Your Rights Training
With the threat of mass deportations growing every day, we need to act now. On Thursday, January 30, at 8 PM ET / 5 PM PT, join us on Zoom for a Know Your Rights training to prepare for the fight ahead. Learn how to take action and protect immigrant communities facing these escalating threats. If you missed our last training, this is your chance to get involved—bring your friends and family, too! Together, we’ll organize, resist, and ensure our neighbors are safe.
