Hi Friend,
On his first day in office, President Trump signed more than 25 Executive Orders, including several that roll back important protections for racial [[link removed]] and gender equity [[link removed]] . While his actions are concerning, they are not at all surprising. We knew what Trump’s record and Project 2025 foretold: threats to our families, safety, and the ability to thrive in our communities.
Trump’s Executive Orders directly attack our autonomy, dignity, and, ultimately, our democracy. They reflect an administration that thrives on division and has built its brand on hate, racism, anti-Blackness, xenophobia, homophobia, and transphobia. Instead of addressing the real struggles that many families face, the administration is spreading falsehoods and targeting vulnerable communities as a way to divert attention away from our country’s real challenges.

Liberation has never begun or
ended with the federal government.
Liberation has never begun or ended with the federal government. We have the strength and determination to fight for our communities, and no Executive Order will silence our voices. Inaction is not an option, and URGE will fight against incoming attacks with vigilance, defiance, and community care.
