With the swish of his giant sharpie, Donald Trump pardoned the January 6th insurrectionists on his first day back in office. 

These weren’t protestors, standing outside of the Capitol building with signs in hand. They showed up that day to wreak havoc and violence. They bludgeoned, electroshocked, and pepper-sprayed officers. They threatened to kill lawmakers and tried to hunt them down. Ultimately, they cost at least five people their lives. 

Now, after pardoning these violent rioters, Donald Trump is ready to take the next step of his revenge presidency: install Kash Patel, an unqualified loyalist with a target list of journalists, prosecutors and members of Congress, to the head of the FBI and help him settle his political scores.

The Senate has the power to stop Patel’s confirmation. In a few clicks, call your senator and demand they reject Kash Patel’s confirmation for FBI Director.

At his inauguration, Donald Trump promised to bring law and order back to our cities.

Someone who actually cares about protecting our communities wouldn’t give far-right militants like the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers a free pass and release them back onto our streets. They also wouldn’t nominate someone so grossly unqualified like Kash Patel to head the nation’s top crime-fighting organization.

Some may be fooled by Trump’s lie-filled speeches. We aren’t, and we know you aren’t either, Mark.

The Senate has a job to do. Call your senator now and tell them that if they care about keeping our communities safe, they will vote NO on Kash Patel’s confirmation.
