President Trump Hits the Ground Running on Day One

The nightmare we've endured over the past four years is finally over, thanks to President Trump taking office. He has already hit the ground running, declaring the state of our southern border a national emergency.

I was live from Washington, D.C., with Bill Hemmer on America’s Newsroom Tuesday morning to discuss. Click here to watch the interview [[link removed]].

Looking Forward to Four More Years of Strong Leadership Under President Trump

I was honored to witness the swearing-in of President Trump as the 47th president of the United States in D.C. on Monday. I’m looking forward to four more years of his leadership. America will be all the better for it.

For anyone who missed President Trump’s inaugural address, click here to watch it [[link removed]]. It shows why your vote counts and why elections matter. What a speech.

Back in the West Wing

I made many trips to the White House in President Trump's first term.

I was never invited during the four years of Biden's presidency. He wanted nothing to do with Texas except to try to hurt us in every way he could, from attacking the oil and gas industry to opening up the border.

It felt good to be back in the West Wing for a meeting with the President's team on the first full day of his new term. Texas could not have a better friend than President Trump. #MAGA

Sitting Down with Elon Musk

On Sunday, I had an opportunity to sit down with Elon Musk while in D.C. for the inauguration. We talked about a wide range of subjects, from battery backup power for the electrical grid, space, the hyperloop, and neurotechnology as it relates to my plan for Dementia prevention, including Alzheimer’s disease research, and working together on a Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) project for Texas in the future.

It was a great meeting. He loves being in Texas.

Inaugural Celebrations in Washington, D.C.

While in D.C., I attended an inaugural celebration with Governor Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton. Jan and I joined our daughter and son-in-law, who were actually working as hosts at the event.

I then joined friends at the best ball of all—the Texas-themed Black Tie and Boots Ball.

I also had the opportunity to attend the Hispanic Republican Gala, which set a record for attendance. Vivek Ramaswamy was a speaker at the event.

I sat down with WFAA’s Jason Whitely a few days ago to give a sneak peek of the upcoming legislative session, including some of my top priorities. Click here to watch the interview [[link removed]].

Thank you for all your support over the years and for everything you do to keep Texas red. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.
