For nearly five decades, Roe v. Wade gave women across this country the ability to make their own healthcare decisions. It wasn’t up for debate. It wasn’t a question. It was a right.

Three years ago, the Supreme Court took that right from us. And the attacks on our freedoms have been relentless ever since.

Republican-led states have rushed to ban abortion entirely or impose cruel restrictions that make care nearly impossible to access. As a result, millions of Americans are now forced to travel hundreds of miles — or face the devastating reality of carrying pregnancies they didn’t choose.

As co-chair of the House Reproductive Freedom Caucus, I’ve heard too many stories like this. Stories about women forced to make impossible choices – lives forever changed because a group of men decided their future for them. And Donald Trump has made it clear: He wants a nationwide abortion ban next.

I’m angry, I’m frustrated, and I’m ready to keep fighting.

I know so many of you feel the same. But anger alone won’t change this. We need action. The truth is that the majority of Americans support reproductive freedom. Poll after poll shows that we’re on the right side of this fight. The next step is to organize and fight back.
