Dear SPUC supporter
Perhaps you, like me, have sat by the side of a loved one as they breathed their last.

These moments, though laden with sorrow, are forever treasured in our hearts.

Perhaps we cherish the last advice our parents gave us, or the last kiss they bestowed on their grandchildren.

Or maybe, in those last precious moments, a decades-long rift was ended, or words were spoken which we had waited a lifetime to hear.

And many of us remember, with great consolation, that last visit of the priest.

But if SPUC doesn’t defeat the Leadbeater Bill we might be the last generation in Britain to have memories like this.

And when we die, only old paintings and photographs will be left to show future generations what it meant to die with dignity.

This nightmare could soon be reality if Assisted Dying becomes law in Britain.

Our opponents don’t have the same understanding of death that we do.

They don’t believe that every life is always of great worth.

They want the power of life and death for themselves.

They have already made killing babies normal. Now they want the power to terminate the lives of suffering and vulnerable people at any age.

Make no mistake: the Leadbeater Bill is not their final destination.

It’s just the first step on a journey to give themselves absolute mastery over life and death.

But you and I can stop them.

Our path to victory in April is straightforward and clear.

If just 28 MPs had voted the other way in November, the death lobby would have lost.

This means we need to:
* keep MPs who voted with us in November on side
* convince a small number of MPs to swap sides.

We will do this by:
* convincing well-motivated MPs that this Bill will bring unimaginable suffering to future generations of Britons
* convincing self-interested MPs that their seats will be lost, and their careers destroyed if they vote against us.

Votes are the lifeblood of elected politicians. To deny votes to an MP is to deny them political life.

That’s why pro-death MPs are terrified of SPUC’s lobbying machine. Radical abortion MP Stella Creasy has warned the abortion movement that “SPUC lobbies hard.”

We do.

But we can only bring our full force to bear on Britain’s politicians when we are operating on full power.

And there is no way around the fact that this requires money.

We simply MUST raise £100,000 in the next NINE DAYS, or we must cut back our plans.

If you donate to SPUC today, we will change MP votes by:
* mobilising tens of thousands of voters to put unprecedented pressure on politicians
* building mass public opposition through a large-scale advertising campaign
* providing polling data which will terrify MPs at risk of losing their seats
* commissioning legal analysis to show MPs how badly they have been deceived by the death lobby
* unleashing the energy of our youth to build a society safe for vulnerable people for all generations to come.

Our SPUC team has the energy, skills, and ability to achieve all of this.

But without your financial support, we cannot put our plans into action.

A donation TODAY will bring about the greatest pro-life fightback in British history.

Dr Nitschke’s “death pod” is deep purple with silver glitter. His wife, Fiona Stewart, said “We spent months creating the right sparkle effect. It just had to be perfect.”

“Dr Death” is marketing his device as a “stylish and elegant means” to die in “some idyllic location”, such as “overlooking the lakes or the mountains”.

He is “absolutely keen” to take this device to the most beautiful parts of Britain, and there watch people die.

The Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and our beautiful coastline, will become places where innocent and vulnerable people are put down like animals, instead of receiving the love and care that they need.

In the last moments before they suffocate to death, they will see their last glimpse of the world before losing it forever - months, years, and possibly decades before their time.

And how many in those last moments will regret their “choice” but have no-one by their side but “Dr Death”?

Here is the banality of evil on full display, in deep purple and with sparkling glitter.

And how many more “death pods” will be built by psychopaths looking to cash in?

We simply can’t let these monsters get a foothold on our shores.

We MUST win.

SPUC has defeated every previous attempt to legalise assisted dying in this country.

And we can defeat one this too.

But our enemies are pulling out every stop to get more MPs to join their side.

And they are very powerful, and very wealthy.

You see… for them, killing innocent people is a business opportunity.

They have learned from the abortionists that murder is a profitable business.

Our opponents think that if they can get the British public to think of death as just another consumer choice, they will laugh all the way to our graves.

When our “economic usefulness” has come to an end, they will encourage us to “choose” death.

And made to feel a burden on society vulnerable men and women will feel obliged to kill themselves.

The perversity of these people is hard for normal people to understand.

Some of them are consumed by greed, others are straightforward sadists, but some – the most dangerous – have another motivation.

These are the radical revolutionaries who have an all-consuming hatred for human civilisation.

For these ideologues, abortion and euthanasia are ways of destroying the family and society and ensuring that mankind is reduced to a mere unit of production and consumption, to be disposed when their economic worth seems done.

This is why they look on with callous indifference at the suffering of innocent people.

They simply don’t care.

But we do.

SPUC will never stop battling to protect all innocent lives in this country.

But fifty years of fighting abortion have shown that it is always easier to PREVENT an evil, than to REVERSE a bad law once it has passed.

That’s why the next three months are crucial.

What you do TODAY, will determine our grandchildren’s TOMORROW.
