As if the thought of Donald Trump in the Oval Office wasn’t disturbing enough, the thought of Elon Musk standing right next to him makes it even worse.
As liberals, we are always suspicious of concentrations of power, and Musk – the world’s wealthiest man, owner of a huge social media platform and now a senior official in the Trump administration – is giving us plenty of reason for suspicion.
In the Guardian today, I’ve written about the problem of Elon Musk and how the UK needs to hold him and other big tech giants to account – since we can hardly expect President Trump to do it.
