Today should be the 52nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court issued the landmark decision that women in the United States had the right to abortion without excessive government restriction. When Roe was overturned in 2022, it set off a wave of abortion bans across the country impacting the lives of millions. But there are millions that still believe that bodily autonomy is essential, that healthcare is a human right, and that we all deserve to shape our own futures.
In the past couple years, we've seen an outpouring of activism in defense of reproductive rights, freedom, and justice. Now more than ever, it is so important for us to connect and strategize with other feminist activists and strengthen our community.
The Feminist Majority Foundation’s National Young Feminist Leadership Conference is a powerful opportunity to join fellow feminists in honing your leadership and organizing skills, and you’ll return home equipped to drive change in your community.
This year’s NYFLC is March 29-31st.
