Folks,
Today should mark 52 years of Roe v. Wade protecting access to abortion across the country.
But instead, today is another day in our never-ending fight to restore and expand reproductive healthcare access.
After the Supreme Court overturned Roe two and a half years ago, women nationwide have seen their rights stripped away through anti-choice legislation, far-right judges, and even laws from 1849 that went into effect when Roe was overturned (really, that’s what happened here in Wisconsin!).
I’ve been a champion of reproductive rights my whole career. I stood up to my anti-abortion GOP opponent in last year’s Senate race, and I’m keeping up the fight for our rights to this day. Please, if you are able, chip in to my work to restore abortion access and fight for our freedoms in the Senate!
Right now, I’m working on getting my legislation, the Women's Health Protection Act, across the finish line. It’s high time we codify the protections of Roe into federal law.
Our work to secure reproductive rights is an uphill battle. Donald Trump refused to commit to a strong stance on abortion during his presidential campaign — but on day one of his presidency, his administration took down a government website dedicated to reproductive rights resources.
I will work with anyone to shore up support for abortion rights. That work has never been more important, which is why I’m humbly asking you to chip in any amount to my efforts to protect reproductive rights in the Senate.
