New York City Council’s Fiscal Year 26 Capital and Discretionary Funding Applications are now open!
Discretionary Funding
In order to receive discretionary funds from the City Council, an organization must be incorporated as a not-for-profit with its own EIN and registered with the New York State Attorney General’s Charities Bureau, unless exempt.
- Religious-affiliated organizations are eligible, however, they must meet the above requirements and must register with the New York STate Attorney General’s Charities Bureau.
For the discretionary application click here. The Discretionary application closes Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 5pm.
Capital Funding
In order to receive capital funds from the City Council, must meet the same requirements listed above. Additionally, the application will be reviewed by the Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget to determine the project's eligibility.
For more information on the capital application click here. The capital application has separate deadlines based on who the request is going to:
- Requests to Borough Presidents are due February, 20, 2025 at 5pm
- Requests to City Council are due March 20, 2025 at 5pm
- Requests to BOTH are due February 20, 2025 at 5pm
For-profit entities may not receive discretionary or capital funds.
